Before I get into all the details of the 7 Day Juice Fasting Program, I want to share the story of my very first juice fast. For most people, their first juice fast is always the most unforgettable; for me, it was life changing.
I did my first juice fast in 2002. I was 26 years old at the time, and struggling with a terribly unhealthy lifestyle. I had been a heavy smoker for years, addicted to sugar, plagued with painful cystic acne, had hormonal imbalances from Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), and was terribly depressed.
My mentor, a Chinese doctor, put me on a juice fast. Looking back, this was her unique way of conducting an intervention. She knew how much I struggled and suffered, and how difficult it was for me to free myself of addictions and bad habits.
